How to Delete A Gmail Account?
You might find situation where you no longer need your Gmail (Google Mail) account. I did. I find this steps after struggling with many links and clues. 
Here are few steps to delete your Gmail account :
1. Login to your Gmail Account.
2. Change your language setting in Gmail to ‘English’ before you move on (so you can see the links mentioned).
3. Click ‘Settings’ at the top of any Gmail page.
4. Open the ‘Accounts’ tab.
5. Click Google Account settings.
6. Click ‘Edit’ next to My services on the right side.
7. Click ‘Delete Gmail Service’. You may also choose to click ‘Close Account’ if you want your Google account (Gmail is only one of so many services that Google account deliver) deleted along with your Gmail account.
Once you close your Gmail account, you can’t reactivate it, and you won’t be able to retrieve any messages you might have in that account.
It’s just that simple.

It seems the only solution according to your situation is to get access to your account again.
Deletion will not be possible unless you have access to it.

LikeI remember my password and log in name. but some how I cannot access to my gmail account.
I would like to delete that account.
I asked for a password reset, but no luck.
Please help to delete that account, seems like some one else is logging in
